I’ve been using this app for two years and it works very reliably. Highly recommend.

Worth the money for this neat piece of software to avoid dealing with apples iCloud app for PC, lets me convert away from the stupid HEIC format, keep HD, keep my thousands of items sorted into albums. I appreciate you and your work.
I’ve used it regularly for years. The dev is very helpful and quick to respond to emails as well.
In this latest release I can no longer transfer full quality photos. It says I need pro. I already renewed my Premium subscription at the start of this year. Restoring Purchase button says successful but nothing changes. Tried restarting. Not good!!
I like the various file transfer options. Generally simple to use. But crashes often. I have 50,000 images to transfer and have yet to finish because it wont run for more than 30-40 minutes at a time.
I had 8000 photos on my iPhone that I needed to get onto my laptop and nothing worked. I saw somebody mention this app so I tried it and it worked beautifully. With the amount of photos I take using my phone, I think I’ll be subscribing to the app.
free mode is useless, thanks for wasting my time edit: imagine thinking you archived all the photos of your loved ones only to realize years later when it's too late, the photo quality has been INTENTIONALLY mutilated by the developer in a ham-fisted attempted to promote a paid version of the software. no one forced you to make a free version of your product.
This is absolutely the best app of its kind. A ton of settings, easy to use, terrific support, inexpensive for the pro version AND it actually works. Thank you so much for this app.
Edit: I followed up by email on the response I got to my observation below. The response was a very clear explanation, came fast, and helped me to keep the sync going ever since. That was a very good experience. I try to use this app to automatically transfer pictures from my iphone to Google Drive. This works for a few days, but then silently stops working. This happens repeatedly. The "automatic" sync seems to resume after I either just open the app or manually sync a few pictures. But then stops working again after some time.
I got frustrated for a few minutes because I couldn’t get it to work. A quick search in the knowledge base and I figured out my firewall and VPN were the culprits. After a few clicks and taps I was in business! I really love this app!
So far that’s a pretty good job with syncing photographs. But when it comes to syncing video clips, if the clip is longer than 10 seconds, it will crash or give an error message.
Just getting a 403 error when sending to android. No suggestions on how to solve this error. Android can send to me with no errors. What gives, Edit: Support was quick to respond! And resolved the issue! Seems Android has some weird permissions issues and you have to explicitly give the app access to your pictures folder. Once access was given it was all working!! Leaving off one star due to the vague error message and there really being no KB or Wiki that states what to do without contacting support. Error messages should never be this vague.
I paid for the pro version then when I want to set up auto transfer I had to pay annual subscription. My husband android version only needs pro (one time payment) to get all features. No sub needed on android. The dev is ripping off iOS users.
I only had one goal I wanted to achieve with a Photo Sync app, backup my photos library to my NAS. I didn’t want to plug in my phone and copy photos/sync through iTunes, I wanted it to essentially be a cloud like experience. I tried several different apps and I had one rule, no subscription. I don’t mind paying for a well built service, but only a one time payment or free. The pro tier on this app accomplishes exactly what I want better than I could of asked for. Don’t go looking for another photo sync app, this is the best one. That you to the developer(s) for making this app. I avoid subscription services as much as I can, exactly the reason I wasn’t backing up photos through iCloud.
At first, the many features of this app make it look robust. But if you’re transferring files and your connection drops for a millisecond, the transfer aborts and you have to manually start it again. Many other file transfer programs actually, you know, try again until your connection is stable, or least they give up after 2-3 minutes. Not this one. As soon as there is one blip on your connection, the transfer aborts. If you have multiple files this is a SERIOUS pain.
Cause it’s really broken. I’m really glad I didn’t activate the trial when prompted with the option to and instead chose to look around the program a bit more first. I was trying to find an iOS equivalent for AutoSync Drive from Android, and this was the closest things I could find. It doesn’t have anywhere near the number of settings or adjustability as AutoSync (ie types of syncs, file type filters w/ regex, deletion cooldown timers, etc). But it at least can copy files to the cloud services I need it to, and on a regular schedule like I need. Or so it claims…. I got completely blocked from linking any sort of account for it to sync to after getting past the short tutorial and trial popup. Every single time the login webpage for any service opens, it glitches the keyboard into the top left corner of the screen, showing on the password manager ‘select a password to use’ popup instead of the full keyboard. On top of that, if you do select an account for the password manager to use, it only manages to paste the email or username into the box. Then the window becomes completely unresponsive to any input. The only way to get a responsive login window again is to force close the app and try again. With a bit of trial and error I was able to get the broken password selection part of the keyboard out of the way to show a slightly less broken keyboard, still tiny and in the upper left. But I typed my email in the box myself, and upon pressing next, it immediately locked up again. About 30-40 attempts later using different emails, restarting the device, trying to connect to different services, trying on a different network, just about anything I could think of, and nothing at all gets me past that point. The webpage the app loads to login to connected accounts is just broken, rendering it completely useless for its intended purpose. I was excited to get this setup and start a trial to see if it fit my needs like it seemed it would. But if logging into connected services don’t work, and are essential to the way I use this type of syncing, then I really don’t know what to say besides to question how this is the case? Is this known by the devs? Is this even still maintained? For the price, the fact it offers a subscription, and the number of reviews I’d be surprised if it isn’t still active, but so many broken auth pages is strange.
I like it.
I just subscribed to the PhotoSync pro subscription a few days ago as I was happy with how well the app was able to copy photos from my phone to the files directory on my phone. Before doing so I tested on a device without any PhotoSync plan that I was able to run the save latest photos shortcut when my device was plugged into power. This shortcut successfully ran, but prompted which type of photo quality I wanted to use. I bought the pro subscription lifetime which states “Transfer photos in full size quality + get current feature set - unlimited.” At that time, the current feature set included uploading latest photos via iOS shortcut. Today, however the PhotoSync app has now moved the save latest photos shortcut into the premium category, when it wasn’t listed there days before, and the shortcut worked perfectly fine 2 days ago. I would like this behavior restored to my pro subscription as it was part of the “current feature set” that was advertised when I purchased it. Please resolve this PhotoSync, the app itself works well!
It copies the same files over and over again; and the worst: it quits the app and the only way to get it back is rebooting the iPhone. Do not buy this App because the customer support doesn’t work either. Don’t waist your money.
No options to transfer from one SD card to another and no direct transfer to google photos without downloading to the phone first. If phone doesn’t have space it will to upload to google photos
The app seems to have a nice user interface, but my primary use is to transfer RAW (.cr3) photos between my pc and iPad and it cannot handle that file type.
This app is exactly what I needed. Helps to backup pics and videos from iPhone to my NAS storage without duplicating. After a long usage my wife needed it and we had a technical issue and reached out to the support team and I was amused by their response time and solving the issue. Thank you PhotoSync!
I have been trying to sync my photos library from I cloud to a NAS. After syncing for over a month now I have about 10000 images and videos transferred to the NAS. At this rate it will take me almost a year to get everything loaded. Now I accidentally clicked on mark all as synced and don’t know how to fix that. So it looks like it will have to start all over again. There has to be a better way. This is Insane…
如果能一键缓存接受盘的缩略图就好了,现在得拖到那里等一会才会显示缩略图,找图很不方便,充了终身会员,希望能越做越好
If you have a PC and you’ve been struggling to sync your photos to it, this is the app you need.
Many types of systems to connect to. Would love to have a feature to ‘only sync photos older than x’, because I delete a lot of pics a day or two later after work.
Transferring videos and pictures while using the free version, will only in low quality. You have to buy pro to transfer the original file.
Discovering PhotoSync was literally the best thing that’s ever happened to my content organization and editing endeavors. It’s so easy to transfer between my iphone and windows 11 pc, I even installed PhotoSync on two other computers in our home and they all sync flawlessly. Definitely recommend for anyone at all but most importantly for content creators!
I just tried this app and it crashes every time. I have configured and succesfully signed into an SMB share on my LAN. I select a couple pics. I tap the red transfer button. I tap selected I tap SMB It says error would I like to try the root directory It quits
Incorporates perfectly into my workflow, and it saves me a tremendous amount of time.
Not free software
This is certainly the best app available for photosyncing. But even after initially giving great reviews, I don’t think I can trust the app truly. It’s the most stable it’s EVER been which is great. However, I had to do another base sync of 25,000+ photos which yielded several 0-byte files and other inconsistencies (read errors which seemed to skip files). I expected to be able able to rerun the sync and have it blitz through my nas via SMB and only copy things it missed the first round or things I manually cleaned up (those 0-byte files). This caused hundreds of curiously unreadable duplicates to be created. And it seemed to be writing small changes to existing files too. Setting “allow overwrite” and attempting to resync seems to write data even if the destination file already exists. In one case, it was a metadata field I noticed was changing. I’m not confident everything is truly backed up properly now. Again, this is certainly the best app available and the devs are doing a great job. I may have an overly discerning eye but there appears to be room for improvement specifically around checking the destination and keeping track of skipped/failed files. Maybe an optional setting/report/validation mode which includes “supposedly” created paths and file hashes so you can verify consistency? Maybe a little command line tool to say here’s this json inventory of paths and hashes, check the pictures folder and report if all good. The logging doesn’t really distinguish between “I don’t see this destination file and I’m coping everything” and “I see the destination and need to change it”
Everything has worked for me. Takes a little to figure out which way works the best in the configurations, but once figured out it works great. Have had some issue uploading from the Web but that’s most likely my problem. It appears that the contact the developer button does not work in the app and instead you need to send an email to their support and then they reply quickly.
Spent money on pro version to convert pics from iPhone to my pc with windows, for like months it worked fine and now it has stopped working. No matter what I try to check or change with WiFi or connection or something with my pc, I can no longer send pics from iPhone to pc even it was working fine.
I upgraded to the lifetime Pro subscription for just $6 to enable full size image backup and it was totally worth it. The only issue I ran into was with family sharing, but after a quick email and a rapid, very detailed response from the app team, I had the issue resolved and it’s working great on family member devices too. Thanks for putting together an extremely well designed and capable app!
If i could rate this a 6/5 i would. At first it was confusing to me,.(because i skipped the tutorial)
I transferred many photos at once and it worked great but when I checked to see if all the photos were there it seemed I was missing 7 photos. It would be tedious to check through over 10,000 photos. If the app had just uploaded all my photos I wouldn’t have to scan through it to find the missing 7. Since I am human and not a robot I still haven’t figured out the missing 7 so I’m a little annoyed. I really want all my pictures; even though it’s only 7 they could be 7 very important photos and if I reset my old phone they could be lost to time so please if there’s is a way to get them back or at least identify which are missing it would be much appreciated! Still overall a phenomenal app, it’s way better than the numerous other apps that claim to do what only this app has done with little to no issues!
When free lowers my image quality I won’t use. That’s annoying that you have to pay to make sure your pics are good
Absolutely MUST-HAVE app for anyone who takes photos. I’ll write more later…. Worth the premium upgrade too. Love this!!! UPDATE: What I use Photosync for is extremely straightforward and simple, and it is criminal that this sort of functionality is not built into iOS, Windows, Mac, etc. but here we are…. It gives devs who create apps like Photosync their space to shine. Like most of you, I take a ton of photos with my iPhone. I need & want to *move* (NOT copy) those photos off of my phone, onto my PC / media server, so I can back them up a few more ways, cast them to my TV, etc. etc. Oh, and free up space on my phone. Photosync does this FLAWLESSLY. PERFECTLY. I’ve been using it for several years and it is FLAWLESS. Did I mention it is PERFECT?!? I’m extremely anal & OCD about my data, especially my priceless family photos. Photosync does exactly what it says it will, in exactly the way you configure it to. In my case, I use it to: - Copy photos + videos to my NAS (Dedicated Windows PC) - Delete them when done. - “Favorite” (Starred / heart photos) get copied / backed up, but NOT deleted. They remain on my phone, because they are, well, my favorites. - I like to sort my pics by oldest first, as I prefer to delete older photos & videos first. 3 Years ago, I purchased the upgrade so both my wife & I could use the advanced features. My wife uses it even more often than I do, and again; once I configured it & showed her how to use, Photosync has been PERFECT. She has zero complaints and each time it works PERFECTLY. Did I mention it’s been flawless yet, and has made me perfectly, 100% comfortable that it’s not doing anything weird / unexpected / unwanted with my priceless memories?? I’m completely & totally confident using Photosync to move / backup / sync my pictures. 20/5 stars. Amazing app. You should all be SO proud of yourselves, Photosync dev team. An app that does exactly what it says it does, with ZERO crashes, problems, issues. In 3 full years. Oh, and even when transferring 10’s of GB’s of videos; ZERO problems. ZERO crashes, ZERO hiccups; nothing but pure, unfettered photosyncing perfection, no matter how many, nor how few photos & videos we move / copy. I will soon be upgrading yet AGAIN to get your new automated sync function! Bravo and Thank you! ETA: OH, I forgot another amazing aspect of Photosync: The automatic organization!!! Anyone who’s ever copied / exported photos out of an iPhone knows what a jumbled, useless mess photos & videos are once they’re off the phone. Well, Photosync can also be configured to rename & organize your photos & videos! I have mine set to add the recording (taken) date + time to the photo, and automatically placed into folders by month, then 12 month folders inside a year folder. Another extremely useful and again FLAWLESSLY implemented feature. Again; thank you so very much you wonderful, wonderful developers! ETA #2: Oh, and…. You can choose to view either only photos OR videos, or both mixed together, just like in your full camera roll! Extremely useful so you can tackle videos first to free up more space, more quickly.
This tool has been a life saver ! Excellent function as well as numerous sync options. Also impressive is the attention to detail and the flexibility of options for different synchronization options. Best purchase I have made in the Apple Store !! Worth every last penny and the premium package adds real value with family sharing.
Apple makes it really annoying and more complicated then it should be to transfer photos. For 6$, this makes the process so easy and fast. Lot cheaper then some other ones out there and works great. Thank you! 🥰
Please add the ability to preview videos and photos in the app & sort by file size. I would then be able to manage the space on both my phone and backup device better by getting rid of things I don’t need.
Update: Issue was fixed very quickly I just updated to the newest version and the application continues to crash and does not open. Please fix ASAP.
Since the latest update I cannot get the app to load. It crashes to the Home Screen every time without fail.
Works perfectly
I had to contact support because I encountered an issue with the app crashing. Within ten minutes, Hendrik had responded to me, letting me know that they were aware of the issue and had already submitted a fix to Apple for approval. He also gave me access to a beta version of the app that solved my problem. He even followed up later to let me know when the new update was available on the App Store. The app itself is extremely easy to use and transfers photos quickly. I purchased the pro version and was able to transfer over 20,000 photos in a matter of hours. There’s an option to convert all HEIC files to JPEGs, which is extremely convenient. This app took all the frustration out of importing photos from my iPhone to my PC. I am thrilled with the quality both of this app and the customer service. Thank you so much!
Update: Thx for the quick fix, developer. Will test the new features now. I was excited to see long list of new features posted with the new update (v4.9) less than 20m ago. However, I don’t seem to be able to open the app at all. Yes, I rebooted my phone 15ProMax. V4.9.1 soon???
Worked fine until update
Other than that no issues
